Samsung has started rolling out the December 2024 update for its latest budget A-series smartphone and a rugged phone. The Galaxy A16 4G is getting its first software update in the form of the December 2024 update. On the other hand, the XCover6 Pro is also receiving the latest security update.

Both devices are grabbing the December 2024 update in the European region; other regions can expect it in a few days. The December 2024 update for both devices brings fixes for several vulnerabilities, including 6 critical and 28 high-level vulnerabilities. Samsung has also included 2 high-level and 8 patches to address its application issues.

The December security patch for the Galaxy A16 4G model is rolling out with build version A165FXXS2AXL1 and comes in a download package size of 259.86 MB. While the XCover6 Pro users can recognise the update with build version G736BXXS8EXL3. If the notification does not appear, go to system settings and then tap on the software update option; here the device will automatically search for the latest software update.

The Galaxy A16 was announced in October, but it was released in November 2024. It comes with Android 14-based One UI 6.1 out of the box. Moreover, the Galaxy XCover6 Pro was launched two years ago, and the device was shipped with Android 12-based One UI 4.
