Everything about One UI 7 (Android 15)

One UI 7 (Android 15) is the next big thing in Samsung’s world. Samsung fans are eagerly waiting for their next innovative OS update. Let’s look at the overall view of the One UI 7 from its beta phase to the stable.

Samsung is currently working on three One UI updates

Currently, the Korean giant is working on three software updates simultaneously i.e., One UI 6.1, One UI 6.1.1, and One UI 7. One UI 6.1 based on Android 14  is already rolled out and is still running since a few devices in particular markets are left to receive. The One UI 6.1.1 is based on Android 14, the next update in the line to release. The giant has already started internal testing for One UI 6.1.1. It will introduced on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Flip 6.

The third one is Android 15-based One UI 7, on which Samsung is actively working. Once the company completes the One UI 6.1.1 release, it will start the One UI 7 program.

One UI 7 beta release date

Following the previous schedule of the One UI OS beta update, Samsung usually releases sometime between late July and August. The expectations for the beta, as of now, were sometime in July, but this is not the case anymore.

As mentioned above, Samsung is also preparing for the One UI 6.1.1 update, which will be officially introduced on Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 on July 10 at the Unpacked event. Reportedly, this time One UI 6.1.1 could also arrive for the most premium devices of the Galaxy S-series like Galaxy S24 & Galaxy S23. The One UI 6.1.1 rollout can take time to complete.

This will be the main reason this time Samsung could get slightly late in opening the beta program. But it’s expected by the end of August it will open the beta program. Meanwhile, One UI 7 internal test build updated for the Galaxy S24 has already been spotted on the server.

One UI 7 stable release date

A tipster hinted that this update will not arrive very early. The Korean giant will push the One UI 6.1.1 update to the Galaxy S24 series. This may cause a late to open the beta program, which directly affects the early stable release schedule.

However, by following the previous One UI releases like One UI 6 and One UI 5, One UI 7 is expected to arrive in October. Last year One UI 6 was released on 30th October, and the year before that One UI 5 was on 25th October. In case Samsung gets late, after that also One UI 7 is expected to arrive between late October and early November.

One UI 7 expected features

Transparently, One UI 7 is based on Android 15, so it will adopt some features of Android 15. Being a big update, it will bring dozens of new innovative features, notable customization changes, and improvements. This update will upgrade the Lockdown Mode to prevent juice-jacking attacks.

Notably, this update will also bring more AI-powered tools within Galaxy AI. Meanwhile, Apple also introduced dozens of new iOS 18 features that’s what could One UI 7 adopt from iOS 18. Some other features, such as a vertical app drawer, enhanced battery health, privacy-focused features, improved pro mode, customizable icons, and more are expected to arrive with the update.
