Samsung is actively rolling out the January 2025 update to its Galaxy device. Following flagships like the S24, S23, Fold6, Flip6, and others, the Korean tech giant has also released the latest security update for an M series smartphone. Currently the Galaxy M55 5G is receiving the January 2025 update.

As of now, it is spotted on Indian units of the Galaxy M55 5G. Users are getting this new update with build version M556BXXS4AXL1, and it comes in a download package of 439.80 MB. If the notification does not appear for the update, you can manually check its availability by navigating to Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install.

It includes system stability along with the latest Android security patches. These January 2025 Android security patches fix almost 50 vulnerabilities, including 5 critical and around 25 high-level. However, the update does not carry any new features for the device. To keep your device from security flaws, you should install the latest security patches as soon as possible.
The Galaxy M55 is eligible for 4 major upgrades and 5 years of security patches. It should receive the much-awaited Android 15-based One UI 7 in the coming months; as of now, only the Galaxy S24 series received the One UI 7, that too in the beta form.
