Last week the January 2025 update distribution was started with the Galaxy S24 Series, and then till now dozens of Galaxy devices have received it. Now today, Samsung has also released the January 2025 update for Galaxy S24 FE units in the US and European regions.
This new monthly update for the S24 FE does not bring any new functionality or features, but it includes January 2025 Android security patches. The latest security patches come with fixes for over 50 issues, in which 5 are critical and 25 high-level.
Galaxy S24 FE January update firmware versions
In Europe, the new firmware is rolling out with build version S721BXXS3AXL1, and users will need to download around 290.31 MB to install it on the device. On the flip side, it can be identified with build version S721USQS3AXL1 on network-locked units in the US.
As of now, it is available on T-Mobile, MetroPCS, and US Cellular in the US. Remaining carriers and regions should get the update in the coming days. Aside from the security patches, it also improves overall system stability and performance in some scenarios.
With other flagships and midrange devices, the Galaxy S24 FE is also waiting to taste the One UI 7 new features, but this year Samsung is getting very late in providing the major update; the company may roll out the One UI 7 faster after the Unpacked 2025 event.
