Sorry, Galaxy S25 Edge, you missed the One UI 8 beta update
Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event, including three models: Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Recently, a few weeks ago, the company launched one more model under the same lineup, called Galaxy S25 Edge. The device is blessed with all the high-end specifications and features.
Today, Samsung rolled out the Android 16-based One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series. But unfortunately, the Galaxy S25 Edge didn’t get the update, despite being a part of the Galaxy S25 series.
Why Galaxy S25 Edge miss the One UI 8 beta?
The latest One UI 8 beta program is not open for the Galaxy S25 Edge, at least for now. Let’s take a closer look at the reason below.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13 in selected countries, and yet to be available in the US market. The smartphone is highly anticipated to be available widely on May 29.
Meanwhile, Samsung has made the One UI 8 beta live for the Galaxy S25 series, in selected markets, including the US, where the Galaxy S25 Edge is yet to be available. This is one of the biggest reasons why the device missed the beta party. The second reason is that the device is not yet available in retail stores, so what’s the meaning of the beta update for it now?
As soon as the phone hit retail stores, and reached a wider audience, its quite possible the company could invite it to join the beta program in next waves of the beta update.
