After lots of Galaxy devices, the company started the February 2025 update rollout for its latest rugged tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active5. As of now, this rugged tablet is getting refreshed with the latest security update in Europe.
Galaxy Tab Active5 February 2025 update
The update is rolling out with build version X306BXXS5AYB2. The February 2025 update for the Galaxy Tab Active5 brings more than 40 patches to address vulnerabilities. The update also includes system stability to offer smooth performance.
The Galaxy Tab Active5 is also waiting to taste the One UI 7 based on the Android 15 features, but these tablets will receive the One UI 7 upgrade after the flagships and premium devices. And no older Galaxy devices have received stable One UI 7 yet, so One UI 7 is far away for the rugged tab as of now.
It was launched last year with Android 14-based One UI 6. The rugged tab features an 8.0-inch LCD display and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The device has a 13MP single rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. It has a 5040 mAh battery, and the tab is powered with an Exynos 1380 SoC. It is eligible for 4 major and 5 years of security updates. It is also waiting for the highly controversial One UI 7 based on the Android 15 upgrade.
