Galaxy XCover7 is the first rugged phone to get the January 2025 update

The XCover7 is currently Samsung’s latest rugged smartphone, which the company launched in January last year. It has been a year since this smartphone was launched, and the company has released timely security updates for it almost every month.

XCover7 January 2025 security update details

As of now, the XCover7 is receiving the January 2025 update in European regions with the new build version G556BXXS7BXL6. The new update comes with January 2025 Android security patches to solve more than 50 issues on Samsung devices.

Along with security patches, it enhanced the stability of the device with system improvements. It is advised that users should install these security updates on time as they can protect your Android device from security breaches.

One UI 7 for XCover7 news

Instead of these monthly updates, XCover7 users are also eagerly waiting for the One UI 7 upgrade, but the major upgrade will take time to be available for any rugged device. Currently, only the Galaxy S24 series has received One UI 7, and that too only in beta form.

Moreover, the Galaxy S25 will be introduced on January 22 at the Unpacked 2025 event. The device could be the first Samsung device with the stable Android 15-based One UI 7. This year the Korean tech giant has massively changed its latest UI.
