Google is busily active in upgrading the overall Android OS experience with the upcoming iteration – Android 15, by offering dozens of new features. One of the most notable and convenient features of an Instant Hotspot feature is arriving with Android 15. Unfortunately, Samsung Galaxy devices will be out of the list to get this feature.
Here’s a question: What is Instant Hotspot
Google will offer an Instant Hotspot feature with Android 15 to all Android devices. It is a tool that will let an Android tablet or Chromebook instantly connect to your phone’s hotspot network. This feature will be convenient when you use an Android tablet or Chromebook without Wi-Fi in the vicinity of your phone, will appear a pop-up asking you whether you want to use your phone’s hotspot network, and the process is seamless.

On the other side, Samsung is gearing up for the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update, which will not adopt Google’s Instant Hotspot. Whereas all the Android devices are eligible for the devices and will adopt it with the Android 15 update.
Instant Hotspot Feature: Samsung Galaxy devices already have Auto Hotspot feature instead
Samsung is not adopting this new feature since One UI already has a functionality similar to Instant Hotspot called Auto Hotspot. If you enable Auto Hotspot on your Galaxy devices, it lets you share your device’s mobile data connection with other devices signed in to your Samsung account.

The only difference between the Instant Hotspot feature of Google is that it works with any Android tablet and the Chromebook. On the other hand, the Auto Hotspot feature of Samsugn is only compatible with Galaxy devices, as long as they share a Samsung or family group. Both features lead to the same functionality and facility, which will not bother the Galaxy device user’s lack of Instant Hotspot feature.
However, if you are looking forward to utilizing the auto Hotspot feature in One UI with the rest of the Android tablet brands or a Chromebook, you might feel left out once Android 15 lands.
