Samsung is busily building up its next major update, One UI 7.0, based on Android 15. The update would introduce 12 new notable features for enhancing users’ seamless experience.
Meanwhile, Google has already made Android 15 Beta 2 available to download, which brings dozens of new features. Since the One UI 7.0 Android skin will be based on Android 15, it will adopt some features. Among dozens of features from Android 15, the 12 features are the most expected to arrive with the One UI 7.0 update. Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming 12 features of One UI 7.0
The One UI 7.0 Update could bring 12 notable features
Vertical app drawer
Samsung could introduce the most demanding feature with the One UI 7.0 called Vertical app drawer. The giant has not confirmed this feature yet, but it is to arrive as an option in the Goodlock app. If you prefer a vertical app drawer, you can enable it directly from the app once the stable One UI 7.0 goes live.
A Battery health percentage menu
This time, the Galaxy users might get a convenient battery health feature similar to iOS with the One UI 7.0 update. Leaks have been teasing the users since the One UI 6.0 update, but the feature has not arrived yet. This feature will help you check the overall battery statistics, for instance, charging cycles, battery health, and more.
Notification cooldown
Sometimes connected with notifications can get overwhelming, Android 15 is introducing a new feature called Notification Cooldown as a solution. This feature will minimize the volume of back-to-back notifications from a similar app to avoid a condition overwhelmed by dozens of alerts. Since this feature is a part of Android 15, it could also be a part of One UI 7.0.
Even dimmer display brightness
One UI 7.0 might introduce an eye-soothing feature with an even dimmer display brightness option. It will let you dim your device screen more than ever before and will boost battery life. It will be more convenient in scenarios like reading books online.
Adaptive vibration
A new Adaptive vibration feature could arrive with the One UI 7.0 update. After enabling this feature, your phone will automatically adjust your device vibration based on your real-time environment.
Huge battery life improvements
Android 15 is introducing a huge battery life improvement, which adds an extra layer of upgrade in the battery breath, especially standby time. This feature will boost the doze mode up to 50% and conserve power by maximizing background activities. It will increase at least three hours of battery life and could be a part of the One UI 7.0
Partial screen sharing
A partial screen-sharing feature could arrive with the One UI 7.0 update. It will let you share a dedicated part of your screen that you want to share instead of a full screen. Now, the One UI 7.0 has you covered with partial screen sharing, which lets you share or record just an app window instead of the whole device screen.
Satellite messaging support
Google has promised that satellite messaging support will be one of the most notable novelty of Android 15. However, the device will need compatible hardware to adopt this feature. Samsung could adopt this Satellite messaging support with One UI 7.0 for high-ended devices, including the Galaxy S24.

Sensitive notifications
Despite various forms of two-factor authentication, your crucial data and all the apps are not secure enough. Now, to add an extra layer of security on each app, Android 15 addresses this issue by offering a feature called sensitive notifications, which prevents your OTPs from being read by malicious Android apps.
Theft Detection Lock
Google Android 15 introduces a new feature called Theft Detection Lock. This feature uses AI to detect the scenes when your Android device gets snatched. It automatically locks your device, preventing thieves from accessing your data. Also, if the robber tries to reset the device, he will not set it up again without your device or Google account credentials.
These are some of the novelties Android 15 will also carry over to the awaiting One UI 7.0 update. Samsung will start the beta program sometime in August.
