Samsung has offered a bundle of new features and improvements with One UI 7 but has also removed the lock screen widget carousel.
Samsung One UI 7 beta
In selected regions, Samsung has released the One UI 7 beta update to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The One UI 7 beta is currently available in the US, Korea, Germany, and the UK. It’s expected in the second phase the company will expand to India and Poland soon. Once the Galaxy S24 series receives the beta update in all eligible regions, then Samsung will start expanding it to the rest of the eligible Galaxy devices.

With the update, Samsung has offered several new features, improvements, customizable options, and more to upgrade the overall system software. But, the company has also removed a few options with the One UI 7, including the lock screen widget carousel.
Samsung removed the Lock Screen Widget Carousel in One UI 7
Samsung with the One UI 7 removed the Lock Screen Widget Carousel. The aim behind this is to simplify its lock screen widget option by removing the full-size widgets from the carousel and keeping only mini widgets.
A random user on Reddit shared a post that he noticed that the ‘Widgets’ page is missing under the – Settings >> Lock screen and AOD.

In the current stable One UI 6.1.1 version, users can customize their lock screen with full-size widgets for various applications. Including Music, Weather, Calendar, and More. These widgets are accessible by clicking the clock on the lock screen.
Currently, in the One UI 6.1.1, users can easily access these full-size widgets by tapping the clock on the lock screen. This would hide all other lock screen UI elements and show a vertically scrolling carousel of all the widgets you selected in Settings.
It remains to see whether the company will keep it constant in the stable One UI 7 version.
