One UI 8.5: everything we know so far
There is only some time left for the Samsung One UI 7 upgrade rollout to be complete, as almost every eligible Galaxy device has received this upgrade, and the remaining devices will also get it soon.
Aside from One UI 7, the company has also released the beta of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series, and now some rumors have also started surfacing regarding the development of One UI 8.5.
For quite some time, Samsung used to release sub-updates after the major update with x.1 and x.1.1 versions, but the sub-update of One UI 8 is going to come with 8.5. According to some recent rumors, Samsung is working on One UI 8.5, which it will launch with its next S series flagship devices, the Galaxy S26 series. The Galaxy S26 is likely to launch early next year.

However, there are no leaks regarding new functionality, features, or improvements, but we can assume that the company may introduce some new functions in Galaxy AI and customization improvements.
