The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are supposed to debut in the early second half of the year and are anticipated to run Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Galaxy Z Flip will launch with One UI 8 onboard
It was initially highly anticipated that the coming foldable smartphones, including Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, would launch on Android 15-based One UI 7.
The Korean tech giant has yet to release any official details regarding the specifications and features of the coming foldable phone. Meanwhile, leaks and reports have already started to circulate in the market.
Now, a new report from SamMobile claims that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 on One UI 8 based on Android 16 onboard.
There are no official words yet, so it remains to be seen whether this report will come true. However, Google has already revealed that it will release the stable Android 16 in June 2025 and has rolled out three beta updates. This might force Samsung to release One UI 8 sooner.
