Google is working on a new feature called Lock screen notification minimalism. This new feature is found in the Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1 code. It will improve the lock screen and notifications.

Currently, handling lock screen notifications in Android 15 can be problematic. Dozens of notifications can mess up the background image. Now Google is working on fixing this issue by testing a new lock screen notification minimalism.

However, currently, the feature has yet to be ready since it’s not enough mature and unable to deliver perfect functionality.

What is Lock Screen Notification Minimalism

Google is testing a new Lock screen notification minimalism feature, found in the Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1 code.

This feature will show fewer notifications on the lock screen. The term ‘minimalism’ here refers to minimizing the multiple notifications showcased on the lock screen. It will only show the app icons on which the notification arrives instead of the full notification.

Samsung could adopt the “Lock Screen Notification Minimalism” with One UI 7

Since Samsung is still working on Android 15-based One UI 7 and has yet to release it. So it’s possible the brand could adopt this convenient feature to enhance the lock screen view.
