Nostalgia when two years of major OS updates was the highest software support a smartphone could have! It’s not the case anymore at least not for the Samsung Galaxy devices. Currently, seven years of software support is the height of Samsung. Here are the eligible Galaxy devices list for 7 years of Android update.
Samsung promised 7 years of Android update support
Almost all flagship Galaxy devices launched after 2019, have four years of Android updates and five years of security patches support.
On the other side, Google has already offered seven years of software support to its Google Pixel devices. Taking this long-lasting software support as a challenge, the Korean giant worked on its hardware to make it compatible with adopting at least seven advanced layers of Android updates.
In the end, earlier this year the brand expanded the durability of its software support. With the Galaxy S24 series, the giant has adopted seven years of software support policy.
