As expected Samsung teased the Galaxy S25 Edge at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The Galaxy S25 Edge is breaking the thinness barriers so far in Samsung’s history, here’s the thinness measurement and more.

Samsung teased the Galaxy S25 Edge at the Unpacked event

Samsung successfully hosted the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, USA. The company launched the Galaxy 25 series, including Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The company also gives a sneak peek at the Galaxy S25 Edge at the Unpacked event. For so long it was rumored that Samsung was working on a new slimmer smartphone to debut this year.

Initially, the Galaxy S25 Edge moniker as Galaxy S25 Slim in rumors. But as expected the device flaunts an ultra-slim design and appears in a similar design language as the Galaxy S25 lineup.

Galaxy S25 Edge’s official camera setup reveals

The official sneak peek at the Galaxy S25 Edge showcases the dual camera setup. However, the official configuration of the lenses hasn’t been revealed yet.

It’s expected that it could feature an upgraded camera configuration which is as follows –

  • A 200MP Primary camera
  • A 50MP Telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom

Galaxy S25 Edge thickness

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is confirmed to be a super thin smartphone. However, Samsung hasn’t unveiled the official measurement of the Galaxy S25 Edge but it could measure a 6.4mm thinness.

On the comparison side, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has an 8.2mm thickness which is quite thicker than the Galaxy S25 Edge.

Samsung is rumored to power the Galaxy S25 Edge with the Snapdragon 8 Elite and make it available in 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage variant.

The device is anticipated to debut sometime between the second and third quarter of the year.
