Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra might feature a massive camera update

The next biggest rival to all Android smartphones, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, is driving in the developing stage. It will bring a massive camera upgrade ever in the Galaxy family.

Ritually, Samsung offers a quad-camera setup to its flagship Galaxy S series. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will still have a quad-camera setup, but the Korean giant is upgrading two cameras with a massive higher-resolution sensor. This time, the camera arrangement will count the configuration as mentioned below –

  • A 200MP primary camera
  • A 50MP ultrawide camera
  • A 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom
  • A 50MP super-telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom

It is being speculated about by a reliable tipster ‘Ice Universe’ who claimed a Chinese microblogging platform “Weibo,” regarding a camera upgrade. Fortunately, if this information comes true, Samsung is upgrading all the rear-facing cameras on the Galaxy S25 Ultra to newer, higher-resolution sensors.

On the comparison side, the recently launched Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera coupled with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP super-telephoto camera sensor with 5x optical zoom. Previously, it reported that Samsung is also looking forward to using a newer 200MP camera sensor for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which could be closer to a 1-inch sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra reportedly could also feature 8K recording across all rear cameras.

However, Samsung has not revealed official details regarding the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. The Galaxy S25 series is suppose to arrive in early 2025. For now, the brand is actively setting up for the next Galaxy Unpacked Event in July to introduce some Galaxy devices, including the sixth generation foldable phones Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Ring, and more.
