However, fans were expecting Samsung to roll out One UI 6.1.1 features instead of the August security patch.

Galaxy S22 August update availability, build number, and other information

Although the update is currently available on devices in limited regions and countries, it is expected that Samsung will soon do a wider rollout of the August update. Regarding the Galaxy S22, the August update has been seen on US network-locked models, including US Cellular and Dish Wireless networks.

Users can identify the update by its build number, S90*USQS6EXG8. As you can see in the screenshot below, the update’s file size is 416.19 MB. It is also expected that the update will be available on other network-locked models as well.

If we talk about the August update, it does not bring any new features for the Galaxy S22. This is a monthly update that comes with many improvements. The August update can also improve the stability of the device. Also, this update includes Android 2024 security patches, which improve the security of the device.

Moreover, if the update notification pop-up does not appear, you can manually check the update. You can check and install the latest update by navigating to System Settings, then clicking on the Software Update. Now tap on the download and install button.
