Face ID app lock feature lets you lock your phone’s application with facial recognition (Face ID). It will prevent you from time-consuming unlocking methods; for instance, drawing patterns, typing passwords, or fingerprints.

Recently, Apple introduced this feature with the iOS 18 update. Since One UI 7 is still in the developing phase, so Samsung should adopt this beneficial app-locking feature.
To rival Apple, Samsung should bring this convenient feature with One UI 7 to add an extra layer of security over apps.
What is the Face ID app lock feature?
The face ID blocking feature permits users to lock any specific application with Face ID. This feature will prevent the app from unauthorized access.
It helps you to access your locked app instantly by facial recognition. It will be beneficial in specific scenarios where your hands are busy unlocking your app, then Face ID will instantly unlock the app.
currently, on iOS 18, this feature appears when you hold the app for a while, then a dialog box pops up, showcasing various options, including “Require Face ID.” Once the user sets the Face ID, then the app will ask for the Face ID every single time to unlock it.
Android 15-based One UI 7
Android 15-based One UI 7 is running in the developing phase. Samsung could open the One UI 7 beta program sometime later this month.
