According to the latest SMR, the latest January 2025 update for Samsung brings over 55 patches to address security vulnerabilities. The update contains more than 33 patches from Google, while Samsung also adds 22 patches for its Galaxy devices.

Apart from the patch details, the company also removed 3 devices from software support. The Korean tech giant ends software support for the Galaxy A12, Galaxy A02s, and Galaxy W21 5G. The update also improves applications functionalities and security, so it is important to install these monthly firmware’s on your devices.
There has been no change in the update frequency of any device this month. The latest OTA update can be checked manually by heading to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.
