Samsung to bring Galaxy S25 features to older Galaxy S-series phones

Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series, which runs Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box. The company has offered various advanced and convenient features exclusively for the Galaxy S25 series.

Now the company is rumored to expand the Galaxy S25 features to older Galaxy S series smartphones with the coming One UI 7 update.

These three series are highly anticipated to receive a few Galaxy S25 features. A reliable tipster, Tarun Vats, shared a text post on X, claiming that Samsung is likely to offer two features to older Galaxy S series devices with the One UI 7 update which are as follows –

  • Best Face
  • Log Video

According to the tipster the Best Face is expected to arrive on Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, and Galaxy S22 series.

The Log Video feature is only expected to arrive on Galaxy S24 Ultra devices at least for now. The Base & Plus variant is not yet confirmed.

Galaxy S25 Best Face feature

Samsung introduced the Best Face feature with One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 series. It analyses your face, or anyone in a group picture who’s mid-blink. It also offers several alternative ‘faces’ where your eyes are open.

Galaxy S25 LOG Video feature

The LOG video feature records video in a special profile that permits more color grading in post-production. LOG videos are larger in file size as compared to the standard videos, and appear washed out in color.

However, there’s no official detail on when the company will expand the One UI 7 update to older Galaxy smartphones. It will be interesting to see which Galaxy S25 features the company will offer with One UI 7 to older devices.
