Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series: The end of an era

Samsung will discontinue its flagship Galaxy S lineup with its coming Galaxy S25 series. It will axe its next-to-next Galaxy S26, as reported. 

Undoubtedly, Samsung is actively working on its coming flagship: the Galaxy S25 series. Leaks and rumors are shouting that the Galaxy S25 series will be the new revolution in the tech industry. 

Samsung Galaxy S25 to be the last mobile iteration of the Galaxy S lineup  

Samsung is supposed to debut the Galaxy S25 in early 2025. The series will include as usual three variants – 

The Ultra variant of the series is highly anticipated to bring massive upgrades in terms of specification, brand-new sleek decent design, and features. However, the standard and plus variants are also expected to bring notable upgrades.

Apart from the upgrades, the Galaxy S25 seems a farewell gift from Samsung to its Galaxy S lineup. Reportedly, Samsung could discontinue its Galaxy S Series after Galaxy S25. This means that the Galaxy S26 will not come into existence. 

Samsung Galaxy S26 reported to be axed 

A well-reliable tipster, Ice Universe, shared a text post on X, claiming that the upcoming OPPO Find X8 will be a small and powerful flagship smartphone but anticipated to outperform Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series. 

He also argues that Chinese brands are quite forward at making small phones as compared to Samsung & Apple. Samsung’s lack of moat will lead to a decline in its competitiveness. His post even suggests that the Korean tech giant could discontinue its Galaxy S26 series due to its lack of competitiveness.

Potentially the upcoming Galaxy S26 series will feature a powerful Snapdragon 8 Eltie 2 chipset processor with a peak frequency of up to 5GHz peak frequency. However, Samsung has yet to reveal anything official regarding this report, it remains to see whether the rumor came into existence.
