Apart from the upgrades, the Galaxy S25 seems a farewell gift from Samsung to its Galaxy S lineup. Reportedly, Samsung could discontinue its Galaxy S Series after Galaxy S25. This means that the Galaxy S26 will not come into existence.

A well-reliable tipster, Ice Universe, shared a text post on X, claiming that the upcoming OPPO Find X8 will be a small and powerful flagship smartphone but anticipated to outperform Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series.
He also argues that Chinese brands are quite forward at making small phones as compared to Samsung & Apple. Samsung’s lack of moat will lead to a decline in its competitiveness. His post even suggests that the Korean tech giant could discontinue its Galaxy S26 series due to its lack of competitiveness.
