After the locked units, Samsung started distributing the latest security update to its unlocked Galaxy S24 units in the US. Recently the company released the February 2025 update for the Verizon-locked Galaxy S24 units. Later, the update expanded to more carriers like T-Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, AT&T, etc.

What’s new in the February update for Galaxy S24?

Now the February 2025 update is also rolling out on unlocked units of the Galaxy S24. The update comes with build versions S921U1UES4AYA1, S926U1UES4AYA1, and S928U1UES4AYA1 for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, respectively. Around 421 MB is the update package download size.

The February update contains more than 40 patches to address security issues in the Galaxy devices. In some scenarios, it also improves system performance. This is a monthly security update, which may take a few hours to a few days to be available on every unit, so keep patience if your device still has not received it.

However, the Galaxy S24 units are waiting for the stable One UI 7 for a long time, and still this update release date is not clear. Currently four Galaxy devices are running on stable One UI 7, including the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and the just-arrived budget Galaxy F06.
