Spread the love

Verizon starts distributing a new software update to Galaxy Tab A9+ users. The update does not include a new Android security patch; it is still on the December 2024 patch. As per the changelog, the update provides enhancements for the devices, especially for TracFone users.

Details of the new firmware update for Galaxy Tab A9+

Users are getting it with software version number X218USQU5CXL3. But as of now, it is only spotted on Verizon; it should be released for other carriers soon. To check update availability on your network, go to settings, then select software update; here, click on download and install.

In addition, it seems new firmware does not carry new features or functionality; it is just enhancing system performance in some scenarios. Notably, it could include some unknown bug or issue fixes, so you should install it for better device performance.

One UI 7

If we talk about One UI 7 for the Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+, yes, definitely they will get it, but we still have to wait a long time for this. As budget tablets, the Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+ come with a great software update policy; they are eligible for 3 Android upgrades and 4 years of security support. However, both tablets already received their first major upgrade in the form of Android 14-based One UI 6.
