Samsung Canada started delivering new software to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3. Both devices have already received the January 2025 update in Europe and the US. Now Canadian users can install a refreshed software update for their Fold 3 and Flip 3 units.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 January 2025 update
The update comes with new firmware versions F926WVLS9JXLA and F711WVLS9JXLA for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3, respectively. For both foldables, it does not bring new features. This update is rolling out on the Fold 3 and Flip 3 running on One UI 6.1.1. One UI 6.1.1 was rolled out last year in October for both devices.
The January 2025 update includes more than 50 patches to address security vulnerabilities in the Galaxy devices. It also improves the system stability for better user experience. You can check the latest update on your Galaxy devices by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
One UI 7 status
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 are both eligible for the One UI 7 upgrade, but the Android 15-based One UI 7 will take time to be available for these foldables, as in the first quarter, the Galaxy S series device will receive it first. However, both device users are waiting for a long time to install and enjoy the latest features and animations of the One UI 7.
