Following Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, the November 2024 security update also started rolling out for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. Both foldables are currently receiving the latest patch in Korea. October security patch was the last update for Fold 5 and Flip 5.
What’s new in November 2024 update for Fold 5 and Flip 5
The new firmware’s can be identified with software versions F946NKSU4DXK8 and F731NKSU4DXK8 for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, respectively. Both device owners have to download around 574 MB to install the update.
Google provides 38 patches for the Android system, while Samsung added 13 patches for its Galaxy devices, for a total of 52 patches. These patches fix several system-relevant issues and bugs. Also, the monthly update improves apps functionality in some scenarios.
However, as of now it is rolling out in Korea, but it will be released in other countries soon. Users should install the latest security patches on their Galaxy device to prevent security breaches.
One UI 7 beta program
Apart from this, the Korean tech giant could announce the One UI 7 beta program during the SDC 2024 event. And the SDC 2024 event is scheduled for tomorrow. The One UI 7 beta program will be released for the Galaxy S24 series devices first.
