A user on Reddit, reports that after installing the One UI 6.1.1 update the “Auto rotate widgets” feature vanished. However, a few users report that this feature doesn’t work seamlessly and smoothly as it never rotates widgets.
Some users find it quite a convenient feature. Samsung has not officially revealed a valid reason to remove the widget. It seems that the company removed this feature since it didn’t work seamlessly.
What is an Auto-rotate widget?
An auto-rotate widget is a small, customizable application. You can place this app on your phone’s home screen to quickly toggle the auto-rotate screen setting on or off.
This widget is quite beneficial, particularly when you need to switch between landscape and portrait orientations; for instance, while watching videos or playing games.

Noticeably, Samsung should have fixed the feature instead of removing it. However, it’s pretty possible that Samsung removed ‘Auto rotate widgets’ with an update to Samsung Home rather than with One UI 6.1.1.
Samsung has already started rolling out the One UI 6.1.1 update to its older Galaxy devices. Recently a couple of Galaxy devices received the update in several regions. You can check the One UI 6.1.1 supported Galaxy device list here.
