Samsung is gearing up to fix the inconvenient and frustrating Edge Lighting+ Good Lock app issue with One UI 7

The Korean giant is adding one more notable twerk in the One UI 7 package, a fix for the Edge Lighting+ issue. The update will enhance the seamless functionality and provide a better user experience.

One UI 7 is already anticipated to bring dozens of new features, improvements, and fixes. Now it is known that the update will also bring a fix for the Edge Lighting+ issue. 

A few users are facing the inconvenient Edge Lightning issue during particular scenes. After struggling a lot with the issue, users reported that Edge Lighting suddenly stops working whenever they turn on Edge Lighting+.

Fortunately, Samsung acknowledged the issue and stood up for the fix. A Good Lock moderator on Samsung’s official Community forums confirmed that the basic Edge Lighting feature and Edge Lighting+ have a compatibility issue. But the company will address it with the coming One UI 7. 

What is Edge Lighting+ 

The Edge Lighting+ is a module within Good Lock. Its job is to enhance the notification experience on Samsung Galaxy devices. 

It lets you customize the way your phone’s edges light up when you receive any notification. The Edge Lighting+ supports a wide range of Galaxy devices running on at least One UI 5.1.1 and above.

Although, currently, users are facing a few issues, the company already assured that it will release a fix with One UI 7. 

One UI 7 Beta Program release 

We are already in the first week of December. Previously it was rumored that Samsung could start the beta program in the first week of December. 

However, later new predictions came into existence and suggested that the beta could start in mid-December. Let’s see which predication will come true.
