When your Galaxy phone stops receiving a software update

The Korean giant “Samsung” is busily working on its upcoming major update Android 15-based One UI 7. Here we are mentioning a list of when your Samsung Galaxy smartphone will stop receiving software update support.

Samsung initially introduced its flagship “Galaxy S” series back in 2010. Being a high-end series its devices get premium features and specs, and even more, OS updates. 

Samsung’s Android update policy for Galaxy S series devices

Samsung has its own set of rules for its software policies and it usually follows the policies. According to its policies, Galaxy S series devices are eligible for the four years of software update.

Recently, the giant has adopted seven years of software policies with the latest Galaxy S24 series which runs Android 14 out of the box. This means that it will get seven more Android updates after Android 14.
