Last week the Galaxy S24 series units received the March 2025 update in their home country, South Korea, and now Samsung has started to expand this latest security update to the US. As of now, carrier-locked units of the Galaxy S24 are receiving the March update in the US.
US-locked Galaxy S24 March 2025 update details
You can identify the March update with new build versions S921USQS4AYB5, S926USQS4AYB5, and S928USQS4AYB5 for Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra, respectively. The update package is delivered in a download size of 436.87 MB. This update is rolling out for One UI 6.1-based Galaxy S24 units.
The March 2025 security update integrates more than 58 patches to address security vulnerabilities. It does not come with new functionalities but improves system performance in some scenarios.
Latest OTA firmwares are distributed in batches, so the update will not be available at the same time on every unit. Further, in the US, the update availability also depends on carriers, so the firmware may take a few days to be available on every model.
Moreover One UI 7 beta Galaxy S24 models have recently received a second hotfix update and are waiting for the stable One UI 7 upgrade, which will be delivered next month as per the official press release.
