Samsung is all set to present its slimmest mid-range smartphone ever, the Galaxy M56, in India next week. Let’s take a sneak peek at the smartphone.

Samsung to launch Galaxy M56 soon

The Korean tech giant is actively working on expanding its mid-range device family by debuting new Galaxy devices. Recently it has debuted many devices under the A-series, including Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26.

Now the company is looking forward to debuting the latest model under the M-series called Galaxy M56 as the successor of Galaxy M55.

Samsung India via its official X handle, discloses the launch date and a few key details of the device. The latest M56 will be launched in India on April 17.

Samsung teases a few key details of Galaxy M56

The company will present the Galaxy M56 as the slimmest phone in the segment. It will measure a 7.2mm thickness and weighs 180gm.

The smartphone will have a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, which is claimed to offer 4x better scratch resistance as compared to the older model. It will feature a sAMOLED+ display with a Vision Booster. It is claimed to have 36% slimmer bezels and a 33% brighter display than the older handset.

Samsung will offer a new rear camera module design. The camera setup will be arranged vertically and have a raised pill-shaped island. Within the island, there is a smaller pill-shaped unit to house the main and ultra-wide cameras. The macro shooter is housed below it in a circular slot.

The camera setup will include a 50-megapixel OIS-supported main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The company will sell the device exclusively through Amazon India and a live Amazon microsite for the handset already goes live. It confirms that the smartphone will be available for purchase in the country via the e-commerce site. Currently, the exact digit is not confirmed, but the fine print on a promotional poster revealed that the phone will be priced between Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000.
