Samsung stops rolling out stable One UI 7

After crossing almost half a year of development stage and five months of the beta phase, Samsung started rolling out the stable One UI 7 to its older Galaxy devices on April 7.

Initially, the company started rolling out the update in South Korea for selected smartphones including, the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold SE. In the second phase on April 10, Samsung expanded the update in more regions including the US, and more.

After crossing the second phase, the company is supposed to release the update today April 14 in more regions as the third phase. But all of a sudden a report revealed that Samsung has paused the One UI 7 rollout.

A report from a reliable tipster, IceUniverse, revealed that Samsung has stopped the One UI 7 rollout due to a serious bug found in the recently released stable build for the Galaxy S24 series, which led to this intentional pause.

Why did Samsung pause the One UI 7 rollout?

The reason behind the delay in the stable One UI 7 rollout is that a few users who already received the update reported that they could not unlock their Galaxy S24 smartphones normally in particular cases. Right after acknowledging the issue, the company paused the rollout.

However, Samsung urgently reviewed the firmware withdrawal in other countries. It remains to see exactly how much time the company will take to resume the rollout.
