Before the One UI 7 beta, the Galaxy S23 series devices are receiving security firmware updates in the US. These flagship units have already received the latest security update on carrier lock models, and now the March 2025 update is released for unlocked units too. These units also received the same security update in Korea two days ago.
March month update details for the S23 in the US
This update is focused on the security of the devices and brings March Android security patches to address several vulnerabilities, from critical to high level. Further, users can also experience stability improvements in some scenarios. However, it does not include any new functionality.
The update is rolling out with build versions S911U1UES6CYB3, S916U1UES6CYB3, and S918U1UES6CYB3 for Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra, respectively. To install this brand new update on your Galaxy S23, you will have to download the OTA package of 424.64 MB.
