June 2025 update dropped for Galaxy S22 series

Samsung has just started rolling out the June 2025 update for Galaxy S22 series models. The update is spotted in its home country, South Korea. The flagship trio from 2022 is now more secure with June 2025 Android security patches.

In addition to the June patch, the brand-new firmware also brings system improvements for better stability of the devices. The update is delivering with new build numbers S901NKS7FYF1, S906NKS7FYF1, and S908NKS7FYF1 for the S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra.

All of these devices received the One UI 7 update last month, and they are also eligible for the One UI 8 based on Android 16. Samsung has released the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series, so this year the major update may come soon for all of its eligible Galaxy devices.

However, the chances of the Galaxy S22 getting the One UI 8 beta program are very low, as Samsung will directly provide stable updates to these devices.
