Let the battle begin; Samsung’s One UI 7 vs Apple’s iOS 18. Both brands have their dedicated and unique Control Panels. Here we are comparing the One UI 7 and iOS 18 control panel and notification panel.
Samsung One UI 7
Samsung released its latest Android 15-based One UI 7 beta 1 on December 5. The stable version of the update is highly anticipated to be released on 22 January.

Now, let’s compare the control panel of iOS 18 and One UI 7.
Control Panel: One UI 7 vs iOS 18
Samsung with the One UI 7 introduces a separate quick panel page and notification page similar to Apple’s iOS.
When you swipe down from the top right, the quick panel will open. Similarly, when you swipe down from the top left corner, the notification panel will open on both iOS and One UI.
But Samsung also offered an extra option to merge both pages. While iOS users lack this feature.
Samsung with the One UI 7 offers an editing menu for the quick panel to edit small toggles. While iOS 18 also lets you customize and replace tiles at your convenience. But One UI’s toggles while editing appears more classy and appealing.
Now Samsung lets you move the specific widget by long pressing and holding it which seems more impressive as compared to Apple.

With One UI 7, Samsung lets you control the volume of media directly from the quick panel itself. For instance now by tapping on the three-dot, you can control the media, ringtone, and system settings volume. Whereas iOS only offers limited options for volume control.
Notification panel: One UI 7 vs iOS 18
iOS already offered a separate notification control center page for so long that users can access it by swiping down from the top left corner. Now Samsung also offers a separate notification panel page with One UI 7 similar to iOS.
The notification control center opens on iOS by swiping down from the top left corner. Users will see multiple notifications on the screen. But to view all notifications they have to swipe up and to move to the first notification swipe down. Although, it seems bulky and messy.
On the other side, Samsung offered a neat and clean notification panel page. One UI 7 brings a bouncy animation and a cool look on the notification panel which looks more impressive.
These are the common differences and changes between the iOS 18 and One UI 7’s quick panel and notification panel. In our opinion, Samsung’s control panel looks clearer and eye-catching with bouncy and impressive animation than iOS 18.
