Samsung introduced Now Bar under the Galaxy AI suite with One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 series and is now anticipated to get third-party app support.
One UI 7: Now Bar
Samsung exclusively introduced the Now Bar feature on the Galaxy S25 series. It allows users to display essential information; like live notifications, music, modes, and routines on the lock screen.
The Now brief feature offers a personalized briefing of selected content that updates throughout the day. Now it is rumored to get third-party app support.
Now Bar to get third-party app support
A new report from ETNews revealed, that Samsung is working on adding multiple third-party apps, including Kakao T and Naver Sports to Now Bar-supported apps.
Currently, Now Bar doesn’t support any third-party app. But if the report comes true, Kakao T will be the first taxi app to be included in Now Bar.
Pressing the application displayed on the top bar lets you check the estimated time of arrival for the pickup destination, and will also notify you of usage time while using a designated driver or bike.
The report also suggests that Now Bar could also get “Cross-App Actions” support that lets you transfer work data from one app to another. Naver, Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, and Volleyball are a few more games that are also expected to be compatible with the Now Bar soon. It will be interesting to see, which third-party app Samsung will add to Now Bar.
