Verizon-locked units of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, Flip 4, and S24 series start getting the January update in the US. All of these devices have already received this update on other network carriers, including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Spectrum Mobile, and more.

January 2025 update: complete details

New firmware for the Verizon-locked Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4 is rolling out with build versions F936USQS7GXLF and F721USQS7GXLF, respectively. On the other hand, the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra are getting it with firmware versions S921USQS4AXL2, S926USQS4AXL2, and S928USQS4AXL2, respectively.

The January update includes more than 50 patches to address security vulnerabilities, in which 5 are critical and around 25 are high level, and the rest are moderate level. Installing this update can further improve the security of your device; that is why these security updates should be installed as soon as possible.

You will not see anything in the way of new features in this update, but it is improving the overall system stability and performance in some scenarios. However, the Galaxy S24 series already received the January security update in its home countries a few days ago.

These devices are still to get this update in Europe, Asia, and some other regions. We hope that soon these security patches will be available in the remaining areas also.
