Almost a week ago, the latest S series smartphones from Samsung received the February 2025 update in the US; more specifically, the carrier-locked units received it. Now the update is starting to expand to other regions as well. As of now, all models of the Galaxy S25 series are starting to get the February 2025 update in Europe and India.

The brand new update brought February 2025 Android security patches to address over 40 security vulnerabilities in Galaxy S25 devices. To offer a better user experience, the update also improves the stability of the devices. Apart from this, the update does not mention other optimizations.
Users of both regions are getting the update with firmware versions S931BXXU1AYB4, S936BXXU1AYB4, and S938BXXU1AYB4 for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, respectively. And this OTA update comes in a download package of around 666 MB.
Galaxy S25 series units are the first to launch with stable One UI 7 based on Android 15. In addition, older Galaxy device users are waiting for a long time to experience the One UI 7 software, but after one more beta release for the Galaxy S24 devices, there seems to be very little hope of getting a stable update of UI 7 soon.
