Galaxy Z Fold6, Flip6, and Fold SE get January 2025 update

Samsung has started rolling out the first security update of 2025 to its new foldable Galaxy devices. As of writing, it is rolling out for the Galaxy Z Fold6, Flip6, and Fold SE. These devices are getting security improvement updates in South Korea first, while other countries can expect it in the coming days.

January 2025 update details

January 2025 can be identified with build versions F956NKSS2AXLF, F741NKSS2AXLF, and F958NKSS2AXLF for the Fold 6, Flip 6, and Fold SE, respectively. 2025’s first software update for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip 6 comes in a package size of 390.1 MB. While the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is getting this OTA update in a download package size of 382.17 MB.

The January 2025 security update carries more than 50 patches to address security vulnerabilities. Despite security, it also improves system stability and performance in some scenarios. These updates rolled out in batches, so they may not be available on every unit simultaneously.

According to the changelog, it does not integrate any new features.
