January 2025 update for Galaxy F55 and F04 is now live in India

Samsung has begun the rollout of the first security update of 2025 to its Galaxy F series devices. As of now, two different segments of the F series smartphone are getting the January 2025 update, one of which is the midrange Galaxy F55 5G and the second is the budget Galaxy F04.

Both devices are getting the January update in Indian markets. For the Galaxy F55, the update is being pushed with build version E556BXXS4AXL1, and the OTA update comes in an update package size of 441.73 MB. On the other hand, the Galaxy F04 users can identify it with the build version E045FXXSAEYA1, and the file size of this update is 253.78 MB.

The January 2025 update carries more than 50 Android security patches to address security vulnerabilities. Along with improved security, it also includes improved system stability.

We are at the end of the first month of 2025, and several Galaxy devices have already received the January 2025 update. Samsung users can also check the latest software update manually on Galaxy devices by heading to Settings » Software Updates » Download and Install.

The Galaxy F55 5G was launched last year with Android 14-based One UI 6. The device is also eligible for the One UI 7. Meanwhile, the Galaxy F04 was released in 2023 with Android 12-based One UI 4, and later it received its two major updates in the form of Android 13 and 14, respectively. It is not eligible for the Android 15 upgrade.
