Yesterday, the Galaxy S25 series models were blessed with the latest security patch in more Asian countries following Korea. The April 2025 Android security patch is now available in India, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, and more. The update does not just bring a new security patch; it also includes a few new features.
What’s new with the April 2025 update for the Galaxy S25?
The latest security update can be identified with the build versions S931BXXU2AYD9, S936BXXU2AYD9, and S938BXXU2AYD9 for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, respectively. And the download package size for the update is around 770 MB.
The update adds live music notification feature support to the Galaxy S25 series models, which allows users to control music and video playback from the notification panel or status bar without opening the app. Notably, the update is spotted in a number of Asian countries.
Further, the April 2025 update comes with fixes for over 60 vulnerabilities, including 1 critical CVE. It also comes with some system-related improvements that improve system stability.
How to download the April update
If you want to check the availability of the update, navigate to Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install. Make sure your device has a battery of more than 60% before installation.
